This is pretty much my first skate photo effectively using flashes. I had one Vivitar285HV to the left of me and another on the right on a flash stand. It's kinda flat looking so I should have placed the left flash further so that it wouldn't look 2 dimentional. As for the composition it's also kinda flat; it would be better to see the angle of the wall and the centredness makes it slightly boring. My slaves suck balls too and always misfire so it's easy tricks only flash photography. Need some wizard pockets!

I'm not sure what it is about this picture, but maybe it's the lighting that's sorta throwing me off. I don't know if it's the high contrast or just washed out colors. Other than that, I love the shot, but would have been better if you didn't have him centered.
